A workshop was held on
October 5, 1997 at the Hawai'i Preparatory Academy in Waimea, Hawai'i to
train a wide variety of coral reef researchers on the uses of butterfly
fish abundance and behavior to monitor the health of coral reefs. The
workshop was led by Dr. Crosby and Dr. Reese and was attended by a very
diverse group of people. Participants included faculty and students from:
