Interesting Stuff: Hawaiians were fond of the nohu because of its taste. Some fishermen say that if someone eats a nohu, then that person will snore in their sleep. The nohu is also said to be found near man-eating sharks. In Hawaiian belief, the nohu po`olä`au, which means "wooden-headed nohu", is said to lay its eggs and their offspring are sharks.
