Hanama'ulu Bay and Ahukini Recreational Pier FMA, Kaua'i

Established 1978

 

 Location: Ahukini Recreational Pier is a public fishing pier located in Hanama'ulu Bay on the eastern coast of Kaua'i. The Ahukini Recreational Pier is a facility of the Division of State Parks. Rules of the State Park System also apply to the use of the facility.

Prohibited

  • Within that portion of Hanama'ulu Bay bounded seaward by the breakwater and a line drawn from the tip of the breakwater to Hanama'ulu Point, to use any spear while SCUBA or skin diving between 6:00 pm and 6:00 am.
  • Within the Ahukini Recreational Pier portion of Hanama'ulu Bay bounded by the breakwater and a line drawn from the tip of the breakwater to "Point A" to the west of Ahukini Recreational Pier as shown in the map above, to use any type of net except thrownet and crab net.
  • Within 50 yards of the Ahukini Recreational Pier or from the adjoining abandoned pier frame, to use any thrownet or spear.
  • While on the Ahukini Recreational Pier, to snag any fish or p055055 any thrownet.
